The Radium Hot Springs pools in Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia are located in Kootenay National Park. The hot springs pools are filled with naturally heated water containing a blend of minerals to relax and rejuvenate you. The water is captured in a large outdoor soaking pool and cooler swimming pool. The pools are run by Parks Canada and are open daily, all year-round. A visit to the pools at Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia, Canada is not to be missed!
Radium Hot Springs in British Columbia, is a part of a group of hot springs run by Parks Canada. They group also includes Banff and Miette. They are known as the Canadian Rockies Hot Springs and three of Canada's most iconic hot pools.
There are parking lots on either side of the highway near the Radium Hot Springs Pools. An under the road walkway to the side with the pools provides a safe way for visitors to cross the busy road.
After checking in and paying at the entrance, the Radium Hot Springs pools can be accessed down this set of stairs. There is also an elevator for guests to use.
This picture taken from the entrance and lobby area shows the size of the hot pool at Radium Hot Springs. It is interesting to note that the temperature varies as you move throughout the pool.
As we were relaxing in the pool we could see these animals on the side of the mountain. They are pretty far away, but they could be either bighorn sheep or mountain goats, both of which can be found in Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia
