Transfer Beach Park in Ladysmith British Columbia Canada
Transfer Beach Park near Ladysmith BC has stunning views out over the Strait of Georgia. Ladysmith is on the eastern shore of Vancouver Island, so one can see huge ships and freighters out on the waters, as well as sail boats, barges and pleasure boats.
The park has many facilities to add to its breathtaking views. It is wheelchair accessible. There is an off leash dog park. At one end of the park there is a large playground area along with a spray park. There are picnic areas, washrooms, and plenty of space to walk or jog. Swimming and fishing are possibilities. You can find kayak rentals just past the playground area. Transfer Beach Park also has a large amphitheatre.
It's a wonderful place for bird watching as well. There are many mature trees in the park, providing shade, as well as shelter for birds. On this particular day, a Sunday in July, there were two food trucks on the grounds.

Kim Kenyon I'll have to make time to check it out next time I'm on the Island. I love bookstores.

I use to live in Ladysmith just out of University. Use to take my dog down to that beach and the coastline in the day. It looks exactly the same.
