Whale Watching of the dock of Painter's Lodge Resort and Spa
Discovery Passage forms part of the inner channel between Vancouver Island and the Discovery Islands, connecting Johnstone strait to the North with the Strait of Georgia to the South. This remarkable marine environment is home to Whales, Dolphins and Porpoises.
We were very lucky to see whales passing by on our recent visit to Painter's Lodge Resort and Spa in Campbell River BC. While fishing off of the dock we managed to see the whales passing through Discovery Passage. If you ever get a chance to visit or are in the Campbell River area, I highly reccommend staying at this resort!

This is a huge perk of coastline living. Whale watching is such a treat. And if they breach in front of you, it is said to bring good luck.
