One of our favourite hotels to stay at when visiting Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is the Park Town Hotel. So far, we have stayed here twice.
Park Town hotel is conveniently located on College Drive near major attractions like the Meewasin Trail, downtown, and the University of Saskatoon.
The hotel has plenty of amenities to make the guests stay enjoyable. In addition to a restaurant, lounge and two pubs, Park Town Hotel has a business centre, indoor heated swimming pool, and a fitness centre. There is even more than 929 square meters (10,000 square feet) of meeting and conference space.
The independent Park Town Hotel has a 3 Green Key rating and has been locally owned by a Saskatoon family for over 60 years!

Appropriately named, Park Town Hotel has parks on two sides, and the downtown Saskatoon on the other two side. Enjoying nature is easy at Park Town Hotel. The 24-hectare (60-acre) Kinsmen Park is just across the street (College Drive). The front of the hotel faces the South Saskatchewan River and connects with the fantastic Meewasin River Valley Trail and parks giving the hotel a serene feel to it. However, city life is only about 1km to Saskatoon's downtown events and entertainment district.

This was the room we had during our first stay. It was spacious with a bed on one side and a living room seating area on the other. The hotel is dog friendly and charges $25 for pets. It doesn't matter the size or the number dogs that you bring, it is a total of $25. This worked out nicely for us since we needed to bring our 2 large dogs with us. It was their first time in a hotel, and they did well, although our big white guy was afraid of falling through the tiny space between the elevator and the floor.

I thought this was smart on the hotel's part. When guests book directly with the property, hotels get to keep more money in their business as they don't need to pay 3rd party booking site charges.

Four Seasons Restaurant in the Park Hotel has an entire wall of windows overlooking the South Saskatchewan river and the Meewasin Valley. Construction is underway on the Park Town Terrace which is set to open in spring 2025. Soon guests will be able to enjoy their breakfast on the outdoor seating area!
I chose Park Town's Rise 'n Shine for breakfast with locally sources grilled sausage. Breakfast was reasonably priced at $16, however I used my $8 off coupon that I received for booking directly with the hotel. This meant my breakfast only cost $8 making it less expensive than going out to a fast-food chain to eat!

Park Town Hotel is undergoing renovations in 2024 and 2025. All guest rooms are being updated to enhance comfort and style. The fresh look has a modern and elegant aesthetic. This was our room during our second stay at Park Town Hotel in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The ambient glow of the under-bed LED lights bathed the room in a soothing and cozy light. We found this room to be more luxurious and cozier, so we give Park Town Hotel and A+ on their renos.
