Newfoundland Canada Summer Adventures 2023 were all about hiking and roadtrips around the province that brought visits to lighthouses, beaches, parks and trails.
In typical Newfoundland fashion, the weather controls the adventures more then your itinerary. This year the roadtrips were about being fleixble and open to new destinations where the sun was to be found. It also taught us to learn to read roapmaps as the reception is often unrealiable as you adventure around Newfoundland.
Newfoundland is an amazing Province to visit as every outport, cove and town have unique coastlines and places to explore. This year's adventure included visiting St. Pierre and Miquelon (part of France right off the coast), the Bonavista Peninsula, Gros Morne National Park, the Irish Loop, the Mistaken Point Ecological Reserve, the East Coast Trail and several National Historic sites around St. John's.
Each of those roadtrip worthy desitinations in Newfoundland contain adventuring for weeks so I know that planning for next summer's sightseeing and tours will be just as exciting.
The tourism industry in Newfoundland is very helpful with planning for attractions and road trips. They have Newfoundland maps, guidebooks and there are several local tour companies in each area of the Province with options for exploring if you prefer to be guided by a local.
Overall, this Newfoundland Summer 2023 Adventure's were memories to last a lifetime and made me excited to explore, sightsee, roadtrip and hike more of this beautiful Island I call Home.
