Arrow Lake is a big lake. Considered "big water". Lakes of this size can be unpredictable weather wise.
I was once in my little inflatable fishing boat on Arrow Lakes (Lower Arrow),then a beautiful summer day. It quickly turned extremely nasty and it was not a good outlook for me in that situation. Luckily, I made it back to shore and hiked freezing cold to my vehicle. It was a wild time. A lot of lessons learned that day. And I should have known better coming from Ontario because it was drilled into me the additional dangers of "big water". Oh Arrow Lake. Hello again.
