Easter weekend was the perfect time to head out to A Little Cup of Sea in Colliers Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. As soon as I pulled the car into the driveway I seen it differently.
Easter weekend inside the Collier’s beach hut rental involved lots of wild island tea and Cadbury mini eggs. I wanted to have an Easter egg hunt outside but it was much too cold and windy.
Newfoundland and Labrador culture is evident from the moment you arrive to the beach hut. A hand knit granny square quilt covered a rock at the entrance.
When your pink luggage pairs perfectly with the girly “she shed” vibes at A Little Cup of Sea. Located in Colliers, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, the hut overlooks Conception Harbour.
Sea urchins and Mermaid’s pouches can be found on the beach in front of the hut. You may also come across driftwood, seashells or sea glass on your beach combing adventures.

Storytelling and theatre have always been passions of mine. I have won awards for acting and writing in the past and am happiest when I’m behind the camera filming movies or in front of it entertaining an audience. With the demands of a high stress ICU career these creative parts of me went dormant for a long period. However, when moving I came across my great Uncle Jerome’s book titled Remembering Little Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Finding the book prompted me to put myself back out there and I look forward to sharing his stories.

Whale accessories just belong in the beach hut! I love all whales but I have a soft spot for humpbacks and have had some very up close and personal encounters. Just call me the whale whisperer haha!
I named the hand knit lobster Wilbert. He was cute to play around with and have some fun. The art of simple living is a book I would highly recommend that was found in the library at the beach hut.
Cozied up in a handmade work of art while drinking wild island tea and listening to the birch crackle and pop in the wood burning fireplace. This is what my dreams are made of.
Mernini brand designer rain coat drying by the wood stove in the shed. The bright, vibrant dory yellow coat is a practical wardrobe piece on the island. The local brand quotes “The worst weather, the best rain coat”!
