Ice Climbing in Wells Gray Provincial Park near Clearwater British Columbia Canada. Recently had some ice time at Triple Decker Falls in the Interior of BC. Ice climbing involves climbing frozen water features - like Triple Decker Falls. Frozen ice formations tend to be steep, jagged and brittle and we used ice axes and crampons. For newbies crampons are boots with metal spikes attached to the sole - to carefully pierce the ice and haul themselves up.
