Located at the summit of Roger's Pass in Glacier National Park of Canada. Right along the TransCanada Highway you'll find the informative visitors centre of Roger's Pass National Historic Site of Canada. Open in 1984, this Discovery Centre covers some much of the history, excursions and nature and wildlife in the area.
If you're on a road trip between Revelstoke and Golden, be sure to make a stop at the Roger's Pass Discovery Centre to learn some fascinating stuff, or even just to stretch your legs and browse the gift shop or maybe grab a quick coffee along the way.

According to the write up in the top left corner, they did not suggest this as the optimal route for the railway to pass through! But alas, it ended up this way.

The Pileated Woodpecker is on the bottom while the Ruffled Grouse sits on top of the tree. I often see grouse just running around on the ground until something spooks them enough to fly a short distance away.

Woodpeckers are always a joy to see or hear in nature. Both of these birds call Glacier National Park Canada home.

If you keep you eyes open to the tree canopies above you while hiking, you may spot this fair sized cute critters. But don't be fooled. They have a mean bite and a big appetite, just not for humans luckily
