Old Quebec (French: Vieux-Quebec) is a historic neighbourhood of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Comprising the Upper Town (French: Haute-Ville) and Lower Town (French: Basse-Ville). The Lower Town is along the river, and is the original, older part of town, lots of nice restaurants, hotels and the Musee de la Civilisation is located there. To get to the Upper town which is larger with even more restaurants and hotels such as the Chateau de Frontenac you can walk up steep streets, many stairs or take the Funicular, a rail elevator that takes you up the cliff in a sort of gondola from the Lower Town to the Upper Town. It was such nice weather while I was there, that I used the stairs or walked the streets. Afterall, I needed to burn off the crepe habit that occurred while I was there.
