A trackable is an item with a unique code on it. You are not supposed to keep these, the goal is to keep them moving and follow their journey if you're so inclined. Some trackables have specific missions they are on!
Trackables come in various shapes and sizes. They are all on a mission of some kind. The idea is to keep them moving and see where they have gone and see where they get off to
Prairies are a great place to leave trackables. Less likely someone will randomly come across the cache and not know what any of it is. Trackables go missing in action a lot but some have been traveling for over a decade. Just luck really.
I wonder what this odd wire is doing here? Oh, there is a geocache at the end of it! A lot of the time, there is a clue in the name or, sometimes an actual clue.
These cool unique trail markers throughout Southern Alberta are in fact home to an entire series of Geocaches. If you see one of these, it's likely got a cache hiding on, in or near it somewhere!
The amount of old school locations scattered across southern Alberta is just wild. They're everywhere. It is very cool that they all have memorial plaques to remember what once was. 90% of these school markers are home to geocaches! Quite a fun...

You probably walk by numerous geocaches and don't even know it! This one just looked like a stick on the ground. But TA-DA, there is a mini drawer for the log sheet. So cute.
