A great trail with some technical areas brings you through a beautiful valley up to some panoramic views over looking Beaver Mines Lake and the Castle Region of Alberta. I would rate this moderate to difficult. It is partially shaded in a beautiful wooded forest for half of the hike, turning to exposed rock areas with minimal shade coverage for the final uphill push. To the real summit is over 800 meters elevation gain. I pushed to the false summit this time. So at least 700 meters elevation gain today. Will be back again, maybe in the spring or early summer to enjoy what looks to be seasonal waterfalls.
