Did you know this is the birthplace for all of Canada's National Parks? It all started here at The Cave & Basin site. A very interesting beautiful and informative place to spend an afternoon, especially in the winter during their Banff Winter Festival. Explore the underground tunnel to the cave pool, walk around the museum and take in a ton of local history. Additionally, you can spend some time in one of the buildings with lounge areas, kids books, a theatre with Banff history on loop. Don't forget to peek into the basin to see if you can spot the tiny unique snails that call this place home!
