The train is a truly amazing way to explore the country. So much easier and less stressful than driving. If you ever get the chance, I'd highly recommend it!

This is such a great list of places to visit in winter! If I were to add one of favourites, it would be Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec in the Charlevoix region. Winter activities in that small town include dog sledding, snowshoeing, cross-country and downhill skiing, and a great Christmas market.

What a colourful landscape, with such interesting geology! I love reading about connections like this - learning that bricks manufactured from prairie clay in Saskatchewan were used in Chateau Frontenac and Cape Canaveral. Really great article!

As Diana mentioned, there sure are some surprises on here, which will make it onto the ever-growing bucket list! My favourite so far is the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, and I'd love to hike the West Coast Trail, although the prospect is a little daunting. Love the ideas in this article!
